HBF ARENA REDEVELOPMENT SEPTEMBER 2017 UPDATE

THE project is tracking on schedule, with more milestones achieved in recent weeks.
 
The forecourt area is very close to completion. Grey paving has been laid, magnolia trees planted and benches installed for customers to relax and enjoy the new space.
 
Reticulation of grassed areas is underway and planting is well advanced.
The refurbishment of the Running Bare retail outlet is finished and they are back in trading as normal.
 
The Minister for Sport and Recreation will officially open both facilities in early November. Details on this event will be available soon.
 
FOOTBALL
The football facility is progressing well however the recent weather has affected the timing of some of the external earth works.
 
Roof sheeting is complete and external cladding is progressing well.
 
There's plenty happening 'behind the scenes' with mechanical installation underway and hydraulic and electrical works progressing.
 
The lifts are being installed and tiling and cabinetry manufacture is also happening at the moment.

At this stage the contractor is targeting a practical completion date of 17 October 2017.

BASKETBALL
The basketball facility is complete!
 
The Construction Compliance Certificate was received by the builder on 1 September and Practical Completion is due 15 September - that's this Friday!
 
VenuesWest and Wanneroo Basketball staff will be touring the completed facility in the coming weeks. This will allow everyone to best answer the many queries from customers that are sure to come.

VenuesWest is proud to partner with the City of Joondalup, Department of Finance, West Perth Football Club, Wanneroo Basketball Association and the Department of Local Government, Sport and Cultural Industries to deliver these new facilities and infrastructure.
 
VenuesWest also acknowledges the financial support from the State Government, City of Joondalup and LandCorp to deliver this major development.
